I sprayed the raptor liner in the box of my work truck a year ago. You don’t always get what you pay for with an raptor liner paint job, sometimes less, and sometimes more.

Raptor liner paint job reviews. I can say that although some other products are pretty good, raptor liner is easier to mix and apply than others i’ve used. I was thinking about going with a lightish or medium gray color for the outside and then black for in. This was all executed perfectly. It has had everything from shovels and bricks thrown in to gas spilled.

Issues are it doesnt get as hard as the real stuff. I think a poorly done new paint job looks worse than a well done worn paint job. I don't have a bad experience to report.

(7 days ago) aug 09, 2020 · i did raptor liner on the roof and rear hatch of my '95 80. But people do it and each to there own. I used raptorliner on my poison spyder fenders.

We didn’t like the fact that it doesn’t stick to the silicone on the seams of the window caps (even though this was a big mistake by chris anyway since no paint really does stick to silicone unless it is some type of paintable silicone…), but raptor truck bed liner is cool for a few reasons: We mixed the tintable raptor coat, automotive tint and hardener together and cleaned the spray gun between each bottle. I can tell you from experience that raptor liner is easy to use and very user friendly.

The raptor paint technician confirmed we took all the correct steps with our preparations. I am in no way an expert but with my dads help this job was relatively easy, just time consuming. Some of the other bedliner type products don't though.

I have seen raptor coat on a lot of things and would not want my car painted with it. The real stuff, not so much. Been on there about a year and so far its holding up good.

I shot my whole truck.bed off in five grey.and went to auto zone and bought there two bottle kit of black for my bumpers and took boxes.the stuff does not matter if it's a roll on kit a or sspray it's all the same! Raptor liner is easy and kit comes with a gun.just have to scuff the neck out of everything other wise it will peel. Since 'real' paint jobs cost more money than i have right now.

(i used an etcher on my aluminum tub before i coated it with the bed liner.) It is a bit of a nightmare to keep clean, you can't just give it. Would we use it to paint our entire vehicle?

There is a topper on the box, but when i sprayed, i covered the top of the box sides and some is exposed to sun. Ive heard of it chipping, other stories stating lack of prep means it doesn't stick well. You can paint right over the old paint, and don’t need to pay as much attention to small dings and dents.

It sprays really easy with a stutz gun. I highly recommend this product! It dries faster and is less expensive compared to other commercial coatings and bed liners.

Im still little on fence but leaning towards it. Here are my thoughts and experiences of the project: No significant fading compared to the inside.

Its also not gritty like some of the others. Like the title says i'm thinking about raptor lining the exterior of my truck. I cleaned the truck out a couple weeks ago and hosed it clean.

I am 17 years old and i am fairly knowledgable when it comes to tools, cars, etc. It is commonly sold as a cheap alternative to a diy paint job for truck bed liner. It's quite easy to repair when it gets a scratch (which is very rare because it is tough).

Maybe it lasts a couple of years, maybe it doesn't. Applying raptor liner is much, much easier than automotive paint. Raptor is very easy to spray and anyone can do it imo.

Upside with raptor is lack of mist when painting it. I just wanted to write this up because when i decided to paint my truck with tintable bedliner, i couldn't always find the info i wanted. Raptor is ok at best.

In many ways this is true. My comments are as follow: Ive done boats and trailers with it.

05 white tacoma prerunner sr5. This route will not look anywhere near perfect for their $500 paint job but just a respray will make it look tons better. Think for older rougher rig its ok idea for cheap tough paint.

After inspection, it has held up extremely well. I did raptor liner from the body style line down, on the front bumper and in the bed. I saw some trucks and jeeps with bedliner paint jobs and really liked it, so i started doing some research.

So my taco had tons of hail damage. Raptor liner isn't like other protective coatings or bed liners. Another great aspect of raptor liner is that it comes in a clear, tintable version that you can get in a multitude of colors to customize your bedliner paint job.

It has an excellent look and is very durable and resistant to the sun and inclement weather. Raptor is easy to apply, and its adherence is excellent. Came out great and is really on there.

My best friend now owns a liner setup. I have no experience with painting cars so if i go the raptor liner route it will probably look pretty bad, make a mess, but cost about $250. I like raptor coat, but it has its place.

Lots of psi and you have to stand way back and. I decided to go with raptor liner because it was affordable and had great reviews. Short video of my 1983 f350 painted with bed liner.
